Problem

Our subject matter expert, Bella Wingo, a tattoo artist at Black Atlas Tattoo, challenged us to create a flash sheet with 4 pages with 3 designs on each page, each page being a different tattoo genre.

Solution

We researched the culture and history of tattoos and came up with our own designs based on the genres she gave us. For our showcase, we are creating customizable tattoo design stickers.

Target Market

Societal Impact

Once they come to our showcase, our audience will be able to interact with our product and learn about the cultural importance and history of tattoos.

Next Steps

We still need to print our custom stickers.

Reflection

Our SME knew a lot about tattoos and helped us a lot. Our designs are original and look pretty snazzy. We struggled with communcation between team members and recording. We've overcome those issues by making a group chat getting to know each other better and working to understand each other.

Use of Backer Contributions

We only ask that people attend our showcase on June 29 from 9:30-10:30 and 12:00-1:00. Business partners interested in working with our students on future projects, please contact our Director of Community Partnerships, Jake Wingo, at jake.wingo@raypec.org.
