Story

Our employer is the Kansas City Chiefs. They are a two time Super Bowl winning team that is part of the NFL. They provide sports entertainment in the form of football to serve fans in the KC area and throughout our nation.

The Problem

The problem is that new Chiefs players and their families must move to a completely new area. They are likely incredibly stressed and nervous due to packing up and moving everything to somewhere they know nothing about.

The Solution

Our solution is a digital brochure. We created the platform in an easy and accessible way for our audience to navigate to help with their smooth transition to a new city.

Target Market

The main people impacted by the problem are the new players on the roster and their families who are traveling with them to Kansas City. They likely have not been to Kansas City before and need a starting point to their new adventure.

Societal Impact

Our solution will be an easy way to service not only the new players, but possibly new citizens in general! The players may look through it and send it to their families if they find it as a helpful resource to anybody new to the area.

Next Steps

To make our idea a reality, we need to send the brochure directly to the Chiefs. From there, our staff contact will send it to the players via text message link. The players will then have the choice to look through the website!

Reflection

This work has impacted us by building our teamwork and communication skills. It has taught us to speak up when we have ideas and that every idea has potential.

Use of Backer Contributions

We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. With a financial investment, we may use the money to purchase a custom domain to set up our own website. We will also use the money to buy tickets to the zoo, a museum, or even restaurant gift cards to distribute to the new players so they are more inclined to explore Kansas City and all it has to offer.
