Story
Our employer is a Kansas City based business, Lazser Down. Lazser Down technology provides real-time objective down and distance feedback in yardage displayed in yard, foot or inch. It has replaced the often unreliable "Dial A Down" yard markers used to measure distance in a football field. This highly innovative technology is changing the way the game of football is played.
The Problem
The problem we are trying to solve is to obtain a broader audience to become familiar with the durability of products offered by the Kansas City based company, Lazser Down. Although Lazser Down is well known within collegiate market and the USFL, there is more potential for the product when it is proven to the people that need it.
The Solution
To solve that problem, we have created a video which will further explain the benefits of the Lazser Down product. The video shows how the down markers are much more durable and user friendly than what is being currently being used by athletic associations.
Target Market
The people we are trying to reach are head coaches, athletic directors, and high school/college principals. We are also trying to demonstrate the product to NFL coaches and players so Lazser Down's name and product can be appreciated nationwide.
Societal Impact
Our solution is important because it helps explain the problem better to our target audience and makes the product more appealing. The video can be posted on social media, and the website of Lazser Down which will make it sustainable for years to come.
Next Steps
One of the next steps we need to take in order for Lazser Down to become a big name is to hire a professional film crew, marketing director, professional studio time, and a test audience in order to take our video to the next level. We created the video on a budget of zero dollars- imagine what could be done with equipment of a higher caliber!
Reflection
This work has impacted our team by helping us collaborate and has taught us how to make a promotional video in the most professional way possible. We have learned how our individual agilities enable us to compliment one another to be as efficient and thorough as possible when building our project.
Use of Backer Contributions
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. The funding would go towards making further marketing videos in a more professional and captivating manner to highlight the products offered by Lazser Down and market them to a wider array of audiences than what is currently captured by just social media and the Lazser Down website.
